He was visiting his dad, who Ms. Goolsby said has always been ashamed of his sick son and grew tired of paying child support for him. Her ex had another son who was younger than the mentally ill teen. The youngster walked into a room where Ms. Goolsby's son was masturbating and watching a sex tape his dad had left in the VCR. The dad pressed charges, saying his mentally ill son exposed himself to his younger child. Both of Ms. Goolsby's sons are in Georgia prisons. Like many mentally ill inmates, they face abuse from inmates and guards, and their sentences may be lengthened for failure to follow prison rules because they are sick and not always in control of their actions (especially when not medicated) and are slow to understand instructions.
