We Demand Dog Justice for Mentally Ill Americans

We demand Dog Justice for Mentally Ill Americans
http://DogJusticeforMentallyIll.blogspot.com

We at Assistance to the Incarcerated Mentally Ill (AIMI) perceive that our pleas for human and civil rights of our most vulnerable citizens have fallen on deaf ears. Our relatives, friends, neighbors, and fellow countrymen who have serious mental illness are still being murdered during arrest attempts and as jail and prison inmates. Although America spends whatever is necessary to train military personnel, police and corrections officers still patrol our streets and correctional facilities without crisis intervention team (CIT) training and kill unarmed people experiencing psychiatric crises without any accountability.

DOG JUSTICE

Too bad you weren't a dog, my brother
In my heart, I cried
Many more people would care about you
And wonder why you died
You had no spots or floppy ears
You never fetched a ball
Instead, you were a human being
But poor, black, and flawe
You died in jail for mental illness
I know down in my heart
Your death would be investigated
If only you could bark
Dog deaths get swift justice
Their abusers are sent to jail
Poor Mama would have closure now
If you'd had a wagging tail
But you were made in God's image
And some day, I have no doubt
The mentally ill and American dogs
Will have at least equal clout
~ by Mary Neal, all rights protected

Inpatient hospital insurance that was wrongly withdrawn from mental patients in the 1970's has never resumed, although deinstitutionalization and reduction of community treatment programs for sick people was a failed experiment that left 1.25 million mental patients to rot in jails and prisons throughout the country at a tremendous expense to taxpayers - over $100 billion annually. In addition, withholding treatment unless and until crimes happen leaves everybody at risk - psychiatric patients, their families, and our communities. We Demand Change Now.

Time is up. We are taking the USA to the U.N. in AIMI vs. USA - http://AIMI-HumanRights.blogspot.com >>No more killing sick, naked veterans, 107-year-old men experiencing old age dementia, petite, middle-age Latino ladies standing alone and vulnerable in their driveways, double amputees in their care homes, and no more prison murders and secret arrests and jail murders. We demand an end to withholding psychiatric treatment in order to await a crime that excuses the arrest of mental patients for avoidable tragedies without any concern about who is hurt. No more racketeering to earn prison profits at the expense of what is just, humane, and safer for our communities. Americans have had enough.

Decriminalize mental illness now. Move it back to being treated as a health condition and away from the criminal justice arena. We demand:

(1) AOT programs (subsistence assistance and mandated treatment),
(2) crisis intervention team (CIT) training for police and corrections officers, and accountability for those who ignore their training to brutalize and kill sick people, and
(3) resumption of Medicaid insurance for psychiatric inpatients, which was stopped in the 1970s and led to the privatization of jails and prisons.

More than 50 percent of the deaths by police on the website "killed by police" were mentally ill victims. Over half the nation's 2.3 million inmates are mentally ill. We recognize that prison investors are allowed to make budgetary decisions and will NOT budget monies necessary to deal fairly with citizens who have serious mental illness, because to do so would reduce the value of their own stock portfolios. No more of this racketeering! Stop the mass arrest and violence against mentally challenged Americans today. Stop subjecting innocent police officers and ordinary citizens to avoidable tragedies to line your own pockets. STOP DOGGIN' US AROUND!

Thank you for giving Assistance to the Incarcerated Mentally Ill.

How can you help? Follow this blog, and share the link to it with your friends. Human and civil rights of persons with mental disabilities in the United States are sometimes treated as being nonexistent. Mentally challenged people are regularly killed by police officers whether they present a threat or not. In addition, many mentally challenged people are tortured and killed behind bars. We won't take any more abuse. Assistance to the Incarcerated Mentally Ill is on air every Wednesday beginning March 25, 2015. Call (818)572-2947 to listen or speak on air. Volunteers are needed! Call and write about volunteer positions with AIMI at MaryLovesJustice@gmail.com, phone 678.531.0262 and (571)335-1741 between 12pm and 2:30pm daily, Monday through Friday. It would be illegal to keep a dog in a tight space 23 hours a day and gas or Taser him for barking. It would be illegal to put a dog in deadly restraint for control. That happens to mentally ill people routinely in the nation's correctional facilities. What happened to Larry Neal? Why are we still asking that question after eleven years? Cover-ups regarding the wrongful deaths of mentally ill inmates are common and vile.
Mentally Ill Americans Need Dog Justice. Treat mental illness medically, not legally. Support the H.R. 3717 "Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act." The U.S. congressional bill by Rep. Tim Murphy provides for crisis intervention team (CIT) training for police and corrections officers, assisted outpatient treatment (AOT), and other needed changes.

Psychiatric Crisis: Sergio Robles Killed a Police Officer

Pictured above is Sergio Robles, a Texas inmate who was deprived of his psychiatric meds for 14 days while incarcerated on a DUI charge. Sergio was beaten before being released and taken to the hospital for medical help. He then killed a police officer who was standing in his mother's doorway pointing a gun in Sergio's direction about 13 hours after Sergio was released from jail in a psychiatric crisis. He has been incarcerated for roughly 5 years for the shooting and was sentenced to 40 years on a plea deal. Sergio suffers from paranoid schizophrenia that is not perceptible when he is on his medication, but the jail refused to dispense his meds during his DUI arrest. That is why the police officer is dead. Both Sergio's family and the police officer's family qualify to be complainants in AIMI vs. USA. Sergio's family already joined as Claimants for this action in International Court. Visit our blog for the lawsuit at "AIMI - Human Rights" http://aimi-humanrights.blogspot.com/

Sergio had a history that included police brutality because of his mental illness. The video below captured a police beating that occurred when Sergio was only 21 and had just learned that his father died. He went into a psychiatric crisis and was walking down the middle of the street. Police beat him viciously and arrested him. See YouTube video  http://youtu.be/dSUxzB3G1vw . Sergio mother had to pay $1,500 for Sergio's bond, because he was charged with disorderly conduct.

DESCRIPTION: Officer Eric Bruss from the Santa Fe Police Department is caught on tape here beating an unarmed Hispanic man. Eric Bruss has been in the news various times for his conduct as a police officer. This Hispanic man was given $125,000 for taking the beating in this video.

Many people complain about FOX broadcasts, but I find FOX to be a reliable source of information about abuses to the mentally ill and minorities in America. Videos usually become unavailable after I feature them in "Dog Justice for Mentally Ill" blog. Hopefully, this FOX video will not disappear.

The victim's cousin wrote: "This is my cousin Sergio Robles. He is doing time in prison right now for accidentally shooting an officer in the face and killing him, but my cousin was scared for his life and has had plenty of encounters with the police. This video shows two officers beating my cousin almost to death, and he wasn't even resisting. if you know people who have been in situations like this, please share my cousin's story. He wasn't doing anything wrong; he is a wonderful person inside and out. Please share the story. Thank you and God bless everyone, and God bless my Aunt Olga for being a strong, wonderful mother for her son. I love you, Aunt Olga."

Hear what happened during Sergio's fatal encounter with police, which happened just hours after Sergio's release from Harris County Jail in psychiatric crisis and physical pain from a police beatdown he reportedly received before jail release. His family spoke about Officer Hamilton's last moments on HUMAN RIGHTS DEMAND broadcasts, as they joined Claimants of "AIMI vs. USA," the planned International Court action to be filed in 2015.
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/humanrightsdemand/2014/08/30/release-the-innocent
HUMAN RIGHTS DEMAND conducted an earlier interview with Olga, Sergio's mother. Hear it: [I must find that Blogtalkradio tape. Prison investors are apparently hiding it.]

Both interviews and Sergio's photo were apparently surreptitiously removed from the Google+ community for "Assistance to the Incarcerated Mentally Ill" at
https://plus.google.com/communities/108448922585036678747

Sergio's family has apparently experienced persecution for being related to a so-called "cop killer," and Sergio continues to report abuse from behind prison walls. He is in a facility far away from his family, which strains their ability to visit him. As far as the family knows, no action was taken against jailers for refusing to give Sergio his meds while incarcerated for two weeks, and no action was taken against Academy Sporting Goods' owners for selling Sergio the gun, a man with a history of severe mental illness. The fact that Academy Sporting Goods sold Sergio a gun and police withheld the psychiatric patient's meds seem to be violations of Sergio's human rights, his family's human rights, and the rights of Officer Hamilton's survivors.

After Sergio's violent police encounter in 2006, which is captured on the film above, he remained faithful to his psychiatric treatment program. He was doing well three years later and in barbering school. Sergio was also in love and had a 9-month-old son. Sergio turned himself in before taking his barbering test. He wanted to get his two-week sentence for DUI behind him before beginning his new profession. But Sergio's next psychiatric crisis resulted in Officer Hamilton's death and a 40-year prison sentence. Life may never return to normal for anyone who loved Sergio or the police officer who died.

Olga Garcia-Verastegui reports that 19 jail inmates contacted the media when Sergio was arrested for the murder of Officer Hamilton. They told what they knew about Sergio's state of mind the day he was released from Harris County Jail -- the day before Officer Hamilton was killed. It was reported that when Sergio was booked into Harris County Jail, none of the other inmates could even tell that he had mental illness. Sergio had been loyal to his psychiatric treatment and faithfully took his medication for years to avoid having a psychiatric crisis like the one on the news video. But the jail refused to give Sergio his medication while he was incarceration. After a few days, Sergio felt himself slipping into psychosis. He reportedly begged corrections officers for his psychiatric medications, but they refused.

Inmates reported that on Sergio's last day of incarceration (14 days after his arrest for DUI), Sergio was beaten by police or corrections officers. The beating was reportedly so severe that they took Sergio to the hospital for treatment before releasing him. By the time of Sergio's release, he was in physical pain as well as mental anguish. This time, it backfired on police. This time, they lost one of their own.

Sergio Robles was mentally ill, which put him at great risk for police brutality or even wrongful death. His understandable fear of police officers after the violence captured on the FOX News video above plus deprivation of his psychiatric medications for two weeks and another police beating (according to inmates' reports) caused Sergio to kill Officer Hamilton. Although Olga Garcia-Verastegui has her son's power of attorney, Sergio was not allowed to have a trial as his mother wished. Sergio, a chronic mental patient, was induced to sign a plea bargain for 40 years incarceration, when his family felt strongly that he should have stood trial, pleading "not guilty for reason of insanity." This happens regularly to many mentally ill offenders in America. Sergio was kept for two years in jail, surrounded by Officer Hamilton's coworkers, before agreeing to plea bargain.

AIMI vs. USA Phone Conference Sept. 13, 2014

Today, stalkers prevented "AIMI vs. USA" Claimants' access to the conference at the FreeConferenceCall.com. The company gave us 805-360-1075 as a backup number for when our issued conference phone number is prohibited from working properly in the future. We will also see if the U.N. can help us have a secure line to communicate about this International Court action. Surely there must be some help available for people to communicate who live in repressive regimes.

Please use the comment field of any article in "AIMI-HumanRights" blog at
http://aimi-humanrights.blogspot.com/ or Dog Justice for Mentally Ill blog at
http://DogJusticeforHumanRights.blogspot.com/ . Leave your email address, and I will get in touch with you. Regardless of interference communicating, this matter will go to the International Court in 2015. Mentally ill people and drug/alcohol addicts deserve treatment, not torturous incarceration in long-term solitary confinement, denied visits and phone calls with loved ones for years. We, the families of the mentally ill, will demand restitution for police brutality, prisoner torture, and wrongful deaths in the United Nations and request that body to demand change in the USA.

We were, however, on BlogTalkRadio at (347)857-3293 today, where static was interjected over our voices from time to time. Listen to the tape

Your relatives and friends are worth a great deal of money to prison investors in government, and that is why they fear "AIMI vs. USA." Another reason is that most AIMI Claimants reveal crimes against humanity that happened or are still happening to their close relatives, including wrongful deaths and prisoner torture (not unlike the torture that was inflicted on War on Terror detainees). These revelations are therefore censored. Thank you for participating. You can join the claimants by emailing MaryLovesJustice@gmail.com, or phone (678)531.0262 or (571)335-1741.

Our next phone conferences are scheduled for the first Saturday and first Sunday in October 2014. I will contact persons who I know were prevented from joining the conferences thus far, as well as persons who comment at the articles or send emails saying they want to be a Claimant in "AIMI vs. USA." Thank you.

Right Time for H.R.3717: Larry Neal's Murder Anniversary

*MURDER ANNIVERSARY* ~ August 1 was the eleventh anniversary of Larry Neal's murder, which happened following 18 days of secret incarceration in Memphis at the Shelby County Jail. Our family initially believed that Larry, a man who suffered from a heart condition and paranoid schizophrenia, had fallen through the cracks somehow. Now we know more about homicides against imprisoned mentally ill people. They get scalded to death, baked, starved, raped, dangerously restrained, Tasered, shot, and some are used for human dog fights.

It appears that most crises that mentally challenged Americans endure result from inhumane treatment by jails, prisons, and emergency police rather than the disease itself. Support H.R.3717, which has provisions for Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training, assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) programs, and resumption of Medicaid insurance for inpatient psychiatric treatment in certain facilities. Nobody deserves to be secretly arrested by police and murdered like Larry Neal was in 2003 because a mental disease makes sick people a nuisance to police.

Torture and murders of America's mentally ill people are secret crimes against humanity that millions of people throughout the world know about. The U.S. Congress should pass H.R.3717 ~ Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act. It is too late to save Larry Neal, Kelly Thomas, Brian Claunch, Jerome Murdough, Darren Rainey, Daniel Linsinbigler, and so many others, but "the time is always right to do what is right" (MLK).

Wrongful Death of Daniel Linsinbigler at Blogtalkradio

Valerie Linsinbigler, joined "Human Rights Demand" on July 19, 2014, at 3pm EDT to discuss the murder of her teenage son, Daniel, by SUFFOCATION while in a restraint chair in Clay County Jail in Florida. See Daniel's photograph below. The radio show is archived at Blogtalkradio. You can hear it any time by accessing it at the url below:
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/humanrightsdemand/2014/07/19/release-the-innocent
Please also see an article about Daniel in this "Dog Justice for Mentally Ill" blog at http://dogjusticeformentallyill.blogspot.com/2014/07/and-then-daniel-linsinbigler-died.html

Plan to join us by phone or computer on "Human Rights Demand" channel at Blogtalkradio daily at 3pm EDT, except Fridays, when we broadcast at 6:30pm EDT. Every show regards human rights.

Speakers on "The Wrongful Death of Daniel Linsinbigler" radio broadcast included:
1. Valerie Linsinbigler, Daniel's mother
2. Marissa Linsinbigler, Daniel's sister
3. Leonna Brandao, president of New Vision Organization, Inc, and NVO's vice president
4. Holly Alston, mother of a mentally ill prisoner in Pennsylvania, Terrell Scott
5. Ana Santiago, mother of an inmate serving a life sentence in Massachusetts
6. Ted Burgess, a former law officer and correctional officer whose son Christopher was murdered in Clay County Jail on December 5, 2002. His death was apparently covered-up by calling it a suicide. A news story about Christopher was published by the Florida Times Union, Jacksonville.com, called "An Inmate's Death in Question"
http://jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/121402/nec_11214666.shtml

7. Mary Neal, host, and sister of Larry Neal, a mentally ill heart patient who was killed in Memphis Shelby County Jail on August 1, 2003, after 18 days of secret incarceration. His death is so covered-up that his relatives are persecuted and censored to prevent public disclosure.

I informed our guests and radio audience about:

(1) H.R.3717 "Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act," a congressional bill that would resume Medicaid insurance in certain facilities and start pilot AOT programs (among other provisions) that would increase opportunities for psychiatric treatment in the USA. See the next article in the "Dog Justice for Mentally Ill" blog, which is called
"Washington Tour for H.R.3717 Supporters"
http://dogjusticeformentallyill.blogspot.com/2014/07/washington-tour-for-hr3717-supporters.html

(2) a wrongful death lawsuit that was filed after the statute of limitations passed but was allowed by the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco because a police cover-up caused the family's late filing. (This also was alleged in Christopher Burgess's case and in the wrongful death of Larry Neal):

Families of people with serious mentally illness and everyone who cares about human and civil rights must unite for justice. We appreciate your interest in the information at the five(5) links above, and we ask you to share it with your online groups. Please plan to join members of Assistance to the Incarcerated Mentally Ill on our Washington tour for supporters of H.R.3717 the "Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act," tentatively planned for September. Many avoidable deaths should make America's mental health crisis a campaign issue in 2014. Elect only people who support human rights in the USA for all Americans, including mentally ill people and prisoners.

Daniel Linsinbigler, 19, was reportedly handcuffed, pepper-sprayed, hooded, Tasered, and placed in a restraint chair with a cloth that was also pepper-sprayed and placed underneath the hood to suffocate him.

Unarmed Mariam Carey Killed by D.C. Police; Man Sets Himself on Fire on National Mall

Police pulled the child from the rented black sedan, then EXECUTED an unarmed woman on Capitol Hill. Another dead mental patient. How can we expect the rest of the nation's police officers to use restraint if it is not used in the nation's capital? Why was Mariam Carey killed rather than apprehended? Did she reach for a baby diaper?

ABC reports: Miriam Carey's family said she had been suffering from postpartum depression with psychosis.

Interviews with some of those who knew the Stamford resident suggested she was coming apart well before she loaded her 1-year-old daughter into the car for the 275-mile drive to Washington, D.C.
Carey had suffered a head injury in a fall and had been fired as a dental hygienist, her former employer said.

“Deadly force was not necessary,” Mariam Carey's sister said. Valerie, who is also in law enforcement, says that police could have rammed her car or disabled it instead. They didn’t have to take her life in the process.

“There had to be something else they could have done,” said Amy Carey, another sister.

******
Many people are in crisis. A man set himself on fire on the National Mall in Washington on October 4. Thank goodness the police did not shoot him. He sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to the hospital. Huffington Post reports: "Katy Scheflen said passing joggers took off their shirts in an effort to help douse the flames, and the man was clearly alive as the fire spread. A police department spokesman said he was conscious and breathing at the scene. MedStar Washington Hospital Center tweeted that the man was taken there and he was in critical condition." He later died.

Before you or someone you care about experiences a mental health crisis caused by a head injury like Mariam Carey, an infection that goes to the brain, like my brother Larry Neal, or age-onset dementia, like 107-year-old Monroe Isadore, it would be a good idea for you to help give ASSISTANCE TO THE INCARCERATED MENTALLY ILL. Sick people deserve timely treatment, not homelessness, prison, and death. You can help by sharing this article and others from "Dog Justice for Mentally Ill" blog. Elect to "follow this blog" on your upper right margin. Thank you.

Police Murder Ethan Saylor, Down Syndrome Victim

FREDERICK, MD — New details have emerged of the death of Ethan Saylor, a mentally handicapped man killed inside a movie theater in January while wearing police handcuffs. The official cause of death was asphyxiation, and an autopsy has revealed that the man suffered a peculiar injury — fractured throat cartilage — which one expert says could only have been caused by force of some kind. Force, which could have included a direct blow or manual strangulation.

Ethan loved the movie and clapped at its end. He wanted to see it again and refused to leave. Police were called. Ethan's caretaker explained that they lacked the money to purchase more tickets and asked police to please wait it out. Touching Ethan would make him "freak out."

“Next thing I know, there are I think three or four cops holding Ethan, trying to put him in handcuffs,” the aide told authorities, according to Sheriff’s Department documents. “I heard Ethan screaming, saying ‘ouch,’ ‘don’t touch me,’ ‘get off’ and crying. Next thing I hear is nothing.”

“Mommy! It hurt!” were Ethan Saylor's last words.

The police officers who killed him are still on the job.

Ethan Saylor, who police murdered over a movie ticket, Kelly Thomas, who police murdered for vagrancy, and Tim Sauders, who jailers murdered on a restraint table where he was abandoned for four days, were all Caucasians. They and other Caucasians were killed like black people with brain dysfunctions are, but their families' treatment after the murders significantly differs from the experience of some black survivors. The media reported the circumstances of these men's wrongful deaths, and accountability was demanded. Ethan's death is being examined by the U.S. Justice Department.

All the families were or will be awarded damages for the police murders. None of the families were censored, gangstalked, and financially persecuted for communicating about the deaths of their disabled relatives. No police went to the homes of Ethan, Kelly, and Tim and warned their families not to report crimes done to silence them. Survivors were not threatened by police with Tasering and arrests for complaining about the murders. Their homes were not burglarized to remove evidence related to the murders and denial of due process of law. None of these men's elderly relatives were sexually assaulted on their hospital beds as punishment for seeking justice in court. Nobody sprayed a chemtrail "x" over their rooftops. No one outlined their yards in paint and ordered helicopters to stand still over their rooftops for 30 minutes as harassment. They are not victimized by malicious prosecution. These families' phone calls and Internet usage are not blocked to prevent the world from knowing about their suppression - because they are Caucasians.

Caucasian families' cries for justice when police kill their disabled relatives are not ignored by every human and civil rights organization or suppressed by the media and law enforcement agencies, because the murders are not covered-up by the U.S. Justice Department. White survivors do not endure harsh tactics to elicit their silence. They are not faced with the possibility of having to take the murders and their own victimization before the United Nations as a last resort in the search for justice. All of these circumstances befell Larry Neal's family, because we are black.

Ethan Saylor, Kelly Thomas, and Tim Souders were Caucasians. They were murdered like Larry Neal was under the color of law. Larry was secretly arrested and held 18 days without his heart and psychiatric medications until he was murdered by that deprivation or by Taser or by restraint device or by brutality, but he was black. In America, that makes all the difference in how police murders are handled, even with blacks in positions of government responsibility. That is because most Negroes in decision making positions work for white supremacist globalists who consider it ridiculous to answer for any black person's wrongful death, particularly one who is mentally disabled. They have no respect whatsoever for anyone's humanity, but with blacks, they are not afraid to show it.

Families of mentally challenged people of every race and everyone who cares about their human rights must band together. Survivors of white police violence victims are treated better than survivors of black victims, but at the end of the day, they all have dead love ones. Families with members who suffer from schizophrenia, Downs syndrome, dementia, bipolar disorder, PTSD, Autism, and other brain issues must realize that whether black, white or other, their loved ones are at greater risk for incarceration, brutality, and police murder. None of our mentally challenged relatives and neighbors are safe as long as news about their deaths is stifled and police officers and jail guards are protected after wrongful deaths. It is time for everyone to unite and give Assistance to the Incarcerated Mentally Ill.
